Gissing Software ConteX chosen as Multi Vendor Contribution platform

GFI Group has selected the ConteX Multi-Vendor Contribution System to enhance their ability to provide contributions from their in-house systems to multiple vendors, including their own distribution infrastructure.

24 March 2004 - London - GFI Group Inc ("GFI") a leading interdealer broker and data and analytical software provider to the derivatives markets, has selected the ConteX Multi-Vendor Contribution System from Gissing Software in order to enhance their ability to provide contributions from their in-house systems to multiple vendors, including their own distribution infrastructure.

Key aspects of the decision were the flexibility of the system and the ease with which contributions to new instruments could be added, the packaging of data for specific vendors, and the ability to effectively monitor contributions across the whole firm to ensure integrity and quality of data is maintained.

GFI will use ConteX for distributing price information from their brokers to trading customers via market data vendors. The software together with the current trading systems and internal price dissemination infrastructure is part of a strategic platform to provide all broker desks with multi-entry and multi distribution real time price distribution capability.

Gissing will be providing an interface to the GFI Data Feed Distribution system in the first phase of the project, which provides information to end users as well as page based market data feeds.

GFI will also be developing an interface from their Price Broadcast System into ConteX for onward distribution to vendors.

The ConteX system will be a key enhancement to GFIs current distribution systems, providing very high capacity throughput and flexibility regarding data formats for distribution.

The initial phase of the implementation includes the installation of ConteX servers in both London and New York, contributing data on Fixed Income and Interest Rate Derivative products.

Gissing's ConteX product was chosen after an exhaustive evaluation of competitive offerings, and continues to provide the "best of breed" solution for contribution to the markets.
