At the end of 2006, after an extensive beta test, Reuters released the latest version of their Marketlink IP protocol - Marketlink IP 2.0. This contribution protocol massively increases the maximum number of messages per second that can be contributed over a single connection to Reuters, and delivered improved fault tolerance too. Following our own tests at a major European bank, Gissing has released an entirely new output handler that supports Reuters MLIP2, and Martin Crocombe, Reuters' Global Contributions Product Manager welcomes it.

Although the majority of the MiFID Level III guidance is still not published, the TradeTech MiFID event at the Radisson SAS hotel seems to have been a success both for the delegates and for Gissing Software. Gissing co-sponsored the event and Richard Gissing spoke on one of the panels during the day. We also unveiled our new pop-up stand!
It's not clear whether it was the stand (follow the link for a photo), Richard's participation in the panel session, or our range of MiFID products that attracted delegate interest, but we had a lot of interest none the less.

Gissing's financial year is the same as the calendar year, and the end of 2006 saw the end of the most successful year in Gissing's history. Revenues up more than 40%, major new client wins, increased adoption of Gissing RealtimeXL and more people joining the team Gissing team are among the highlights.
